Saturday 2nd April sees Montpellier travel to Bourgoin for the 23rd day of this seasons TOP 14, k.o. 14.30. Bourgoin already relegated to the Pro D2, after a disastrous season sportivly and financially, will be trying to end their season with honour and dignity they have also lost several players including are newly acquired New Zealand capped flanker Alex Tulou.
The last game that Bourgoin won goes back to December and against who? Our very own Montpellier in the European Amlin Challenge Cup, so there is nothing clear cut about this match and our Cistes must be on their guard at all times. Potentially there is the possibility of bringing all 5 points home but the game is never over until the Fat Lady sings, this game is a massive banana skin situation for Montpellier, over confidence and lack of respect for the opposition could cost our team dearly.
With the infirmary chocker block there will be a few new faces in the team and probably on the bench, Alcade, Sicard, Gimeno, Dargier, Pratmarty all took part in training this week!!!
We are almost there for the H Cup qualification next season, but there is still work to be done and The Gentle Giant and the General (Bechu, Galthie) will be making sure that there are no upsets this Saturday afternoon.
Steve Whittell.
